John Denver Sanctuary
Located: 470 Rio Grande Place, by the river behind the Rio Grande Field
Built-in the memory of great singer John Denver, the sanctuary is nestled next to Rio Grande Park. The sanctuary is an ideal spot for a family picnic or for meditation. The sanctuary is one of the favorite spots among locals and tourists because of its scenic beauty and environmentally sound wetlands. One can know about the history of the sanctuary through the landscape engraved rocks. The sanctuary also provides a stage for entertainment as it houses Theater Aspen.
Open dawn to dusk. No tickets required, this is a public park.
